Pool Party
Giggles and laughter were the main sound heard at
Susan’s Porterville home where the children and adults were having a
pool party. A bounce house and a in ground pool were the main
attractions in the home’s spacious backyard. Parents, volunteers,
and children came with their bathing suits on, ready to have a good
time swimming.

A bounce house was rented for the kids enjoyment,
and the theme was Spiderman, which was a favorite of the boys.
Around lunch time, 20 pizzas of all different variations was
delivered by Domino’s. Watermelon, pizza, chips, drinks, and baked
goods were set up on several tables where the kids chose what they
wanted.

They were hungry after a couple hours of swimming.
The caretaker was giving the orphans, who had never swam before,
swimming lessons. Many of them picked it up right away. A diving
rock at the deep end of the pool was the highlight for older kids
who did dives, and somersaults into the water. After hours and hours
of swimming, the children got tired and people started heading
home.
